Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors administers under O.C.G.A. Title 43 Ch 41. Master Electrician licensing is administered by a separate Georgia State Construction Industry Licensing Board — Division of Electrical Contractors (NOT NASCLA-Electrical accepting; Georgia is NOT on the NASCLA Electrical participating list).       GA-specific rules that catch out-of-state contractors

      • NOC requirement (§ 44-14-361.5): Owner must record Notice of Commencement before construction begins on covered projects. Sub's lien-claim window is affected by NOC presence/absence — owner non-compliance EXTENDS sub's lien window.
      • § 13-8-2 Anti-Indemnity: Contract provisions requiring contractor to indemnify another for that other's OWN sole negligence are void.
      • § 13-11-4 Prompt Pay: Prime must pay subs within 10 days of receipt of owner payment.
      • § 19-11-9.2 New-Hire Reporting: 10 days from hire (stricter than federal 20-day default).
      • § 34-9-2 WC threshold: 3+ regular employees triggers required WC coverage.
