Who we are
Trade Code Solutions (“TCS”, “we”) is an electrical-code training company headquartered in Krum, TX. You can reach us at support@tradecodesolutions.com. A mailing address is available on written request.
What we collect
- Account information — name and email address when you purchase a course or join a waitlist.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we only receive a Stripe receipt token tying the payment to your course purchase.
- Course progress — when you take a TCS course, we record completion status, knowledge-check scores, time spent, and the certificate of completion. These are required to issue compliant CEU credit and to defend an audit.
- License information you give us — for reciprocity and license-management products, we store the license types, license numbers, and expiration dates you enter. You can delete this at any time by emailing us.
- Web analytics — basic page-load and conversion metrics, with no third-party advertising trackers.
- Session verification (state CEU courses only) — most state electrical boards require us to confirm the learner taking a CEU course is the licensee on record. To do that, our state-CEU lessons ask you to type a short sentence at the start of a session and again periodically during the course. We measure only the rhythm of your typing (timings between keystrokes). We do not store the words themselves, and we do not capture your screen, camera, microphone, IP address, or location. The rhythm pattern is used solely to confirm continuity of session for state-board audit purposes and is retained alongside your course completion record under the same retention rules described below.
How we use it
- Deliver the course or service you bought.
- Issue and re-issue certificates of completion (PDF and email).
- Send renewal reminders for licenses you have asked us to track.
- Email you about your purchase, related products, and material TCS updates. You can opt out of marketing email at any time; service email (e.g. certificate delivery, security notices) is required for the product to function.
- Defend an audit by a state board, the IRS, or our insurers.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Subprocessors we rely on
- Attio — customer database (US-hosted).
- Stripe — payment processing and receipts (PCI-DSS Level 1).
- LearnWorlds — course delivery and quiz engine.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Vercel — website hosting.
How long we keep it
Training completion records (certificate, score, time spent) are retained for a minimum of 5 years. This matches the OSHA Outreach 10/30 standard and the longest cycle most state electrical boards request on audit. You can request earlier deletion of your account contact information; we keep an anonymised completion record for the audit window. For licenses you have entered, you can delete the license records anytime — deletion takes effect within 7 days.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to the audit-retention window above). Email support@tradecodesolutions.com. We respond within 30 days.
