Terms of service

Last updated: May 4, 2026

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you (“you”) and Trade Code Solutions (“TCS”, “we”), a training company headquartered in Krum, TX. By purchasing a course, joining a waitlist, or otherwise using this site, you accept these terms.

2. What you're buying

  • One-time courses(e.g. NFPA 70E Essentials): perpetual access to the course content, knowledge check, and certificate of completion you earn. Content is updated on the underlying standard's cycle (typically 3 years); customers re-purchase to take the refreshed version when the next cycle hits.
  • Time-bounded access (e.g. Practice Test tiers): access for the labelled window (3, 30, 60, or 90 days) starting at purchase. Access ends automatically.
  • Subscriptions (License Management, when launched): recurring monthly or annual access. Cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period.

3. Certificates and CEU credit

When you complete a course's knowledge check, we issue a certificate of completion in PDF form. For state-CEU products, the certificate is also reported to the relevant state board under the rules of that board (e.g. Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation reporting cadence). You authorise TCS to make those reports on your behalf as a condition of CEU credit.

4. Intellectual property

Course narration, scripts, slides, quizzes, and dashboard UI are our copyright. Verbatim NEC and NFPA 70E text quoted in our courses is reproduced under fair use (17 U.S.C. § 107) with citation, and remains the copyright of the National Fire Protection Association. NEC®, NFPA 70®, and NFPA 70E® are registered trademarks of the National Fire Protection Association.

You may use what you learn freely in your work. You may not redistribute, re-host, or resell our course content.

5. Refunds

See the refund policy for current windows and conditions. In short: full refund on any one-time course within 7 days of purchase if you have not yet earned a certificate; pro-rated refund on access products within 48 hours.

6. Accuracy of content

We build every course directly from the published NFPA, NEC, and OSHA standards via authoritative sources (NFPA Link Pro and the Federal Register). We continuously scrub content against those sources and refresh on the standard's cycle. If you spot an error, email us at support@tradecodesolutions.com and we'll review and correct it.

TCS courses are training. They do not replace your professional judgment, your employer's safety program, or the authoritative rule set in your jurisdiction. If a state board rule conflicts with a course statement, the state board rule governs.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, TCS's total liability under or relating to these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the affected course or service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are filed in Denton County, Texas, unless a consumer-protection statute in your state requires otherwise.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes are emailed to active customers at least 14 days before they take effect.
