What goes wrong without TCS

Every multi-state crew runs into these. A spreadsheet only papers over them; it doesn’t solve them.

  • Civil-service credentialing rules can't slip

Most public-sector electrician postings require the credential on day one. A lapsed master license doesn't just halt work — it can trigger HR-level civil-service issues. TCS catches the lapse 90 days early.

  • Public-records requests demand evidence

Open-records requests on training and qualifications can land any week. TCS exports an audit-defensible packet in seconds, source-stamped per state and per credential.

  • Cross-jurisdiction project work is normal

City crews loaned to a regional transit authority, county electricians on a state DOT project. Each cross-jurisdiction job needs evidence of qualifications. TCS keeps the matrix current.

  • NFPA 70E compliance is the floor

Public-sector employers carry the same NFPA 70E obligations as private industry — and the legal exposure is higher. TCS bulk-assigns NFPA 70E courses and reconciles completions automatically.

  • Procurement timelines are long; gaps are obvious

Municipal procurement runs months. A late-discovered credential gap can't be patched with a contractor — it has to be the budgeted in-house crew. TCS surfaces gaps in time to act.

How TCS solves it

Four capabilities, one dashboard.

TCS sells electrical-code education and safety training first — NFPA 70E, NEC CEU packages, journeyman + master prep. The enterprise dashboard is what keeps your workforce’s licenses, training records, and reciprocity activations current across every state you operate in.

1

Employee dashboard

Every license, every employee, every state, in one place. Search by name, state, license type, or expiration window. Drill into any record for the full audit history.

2

Upcoming renewals

Automated reminders 90 / 60 / 30 / 14 days before expiration. Bulk-assign CEU courses for employees who need credit. Renewal packets pre-filled from each state board's published forms.

3

Reciprocity engine

TCS finds every state that accepts your existing employees' credentials — full reciprocity, exam equivalence, NASCLA route, or endorsement. We file the activation paperwork on your behalf.

4

Audit-trail reporting

Per-state compliance packets ready on demand. Five-year minimum retention on every certificate, completion record, and filing receipt — meets OSHA Outreach + state-board audit defaults.

Where it shows up in your day

  • A city public-works department with 22 electricians across 4 service yards. TCS surfaces 6 expiring licenses, queues NFPA 70E refresher for 4 workers, and pre-fills the renewal packets — HR signs and submits in one afternoon.
  • Open-records request lands Thursday. Compliance officer exports the requested credential history in 60 seconds, source-stamped per state and per credential.
  • County electricians loaned to a state DOT project. Reciprocity engine confirms every worker's cross-jurisdiction qualifications before mobilisation.
  • Annual budget submission. Operations director uses the TCS dashboard to project next year's CEU + renewal costs at the line-item level.
  • New electrician hire. State-board verification pulls existing licenses; dashboard surfaces which need state-specific endorsements before placement.

Frequently asked questions

Are you on government procurement vehicles?+

We're early — happy to talk through cooperative purchasing, GSA, state contract vehicles, and direct PO arrangements. Founding-municipality pricing is available for the first city / county / authority deployments.

Can our electricians use TCS courses for state CE credit?+

Yes. TCS is registering as a state-CEU provider on a published rollout: applications are pending with TX, FL, WA, UT, OH, and OK, with VA, GA, KY, AL, AR, MS, and NM following. Where state-CE provider approval isn't yet in place, the courses still issue real PDF certificates that meet most internal training-record requirements.

How is this different from BambooHR or Rippling for electricians?+

BambooHR and Rippling are HRIS platforms — they track headcount, payroll, and PTO. They don't know that Texas TML expires on the holder's birthday, that Ohio is biennial, that Colorado contractor licenses inherit their RI master's expiration, or that Oklahoma accepts a Texas master via exam-equivalence. TCS is built around those state-board specifics from day one, by a master electrician licensed in 20+ states. We integrate with your HRIS instead of replacing it.

What if my employees work in states TCS hasn't covered yet?+

TCS already supports the 50-state license matrix and reciprocity engine. The CEU course catalog rolls out state by state on a published schedule — TX TDLR is live; FL, WA, UT, OH, OK, VA, GA, KY, AL, AR, MS, NM ship in the next 8 weeks; the rest follow on a public roadmap. License tracking + renewal reminders + audit trail work in all 50 states on day one. CEU bulk-purchase coverage matches whichever states are live for that specific course.

Can I bulk-purchase CEU courses for multiple employees?+

Yes. From the Bulk CEU page in your dashboard, assign any TCS course to a list of employees in one step, and we book the credit to each employee's record automatically when they complete it. Volume pricing kicks in past 25 seats, with founding-customer pricing locked in for life.

What's your data retention policy?+

Five-year minimum retention on every certificate, completion record, training packet, and state-board filing receipt. Stored across Attio (customer record), Vercel Blob (PDF archive), and Stripe (billing). This default meets OSHA Outreach 10/30 requirements and every state-board audit standard we've tested. Custom retention windows available on Enterprise.

Do you integrate with our HRIS?+

Yes — we sync with BambooHR, Rippling, Gusto, ADP, and Workday on the Mid-market and Enterprise tiers. New employees auto-create a TCS record; departures auto-disable. SCIM provisioning available on Enterprise. If your HRIS isn't on the list, send us a note via the form below and we'll prioritise it.

What happens at end of subscription?+

Your data exports cleanly — every license record, every completion certificate, every audit packet, in CSV + PDF, owned by you. We retain the minimum required for compliance reasons (5-year audit-trail), but no new updates or reminders fire after cancellation. You can resume anytime with full history intact.
