Certified and registered electrical contractor licenses expire August 31 of every even-numbered year. The current deadline is midnight EST on August 31, 2026. Licenses not renewed by the deadline move to delinquent status with DBPR.
Renewal is administered by the Florida Electrical Contractors' Licensing Board, Department of Business and Professional Regulation under Fla. Stat. § 489.517(3). Every fact on this page is sourced from the state board and statute — sources and capture date are listed at the bottom.
